Terms and conditions for availing Avios from Qatar Airways through Alfardan Exchange (“Terms and Conditions”)

These Terms and Conditions govern the eligibility, issuance, and usage of Avios for Alfardan Exchange customers who carry out qualifying transactions. By participating in this program, customers agree to comply with these terms.

1. Eligibility

• The Avios program is available to individual customers of Alfardan Exchange who conduct qualifying transactions.

• Customers must be a valid member of Qatar Airways Privilege Club program to receive Avios.

• Transactions made for commercial or business purposes may not be eligible unless otherwise stated by Alfardan Exchange.

2. Qualifying Transactions & Avios Issuance

Avios will be awarded based on the type and volume of the transaction as per the following structure:

2.1 Cross-Border Money Transactions (Remittances)

• Customers will earn between 50 and 100 Avios based on the transaction volume.

• Issuance structure:

  • Transfer of QR 5,000 – QR 10,000 → 50 Avios earned per transaction

  • Transfer of QR 10,001 and above → 100 Avios earned per transaction

• With 100 Avios being the maximum Avios per transaction.   

2.2 Foreign Currency Purchases

• Customers will earn between 50 to 300 Avios based on the amount of foreign currency purchased.

• The issuance structure is slab-based and detailed in the transaction table below.

• With 300 Avios being the maximum Avios per transaction.   

2.3 Gold Bullion Transactions

• Customers will earn 250 Avios per ounce of gold purchased.

• No limit on the number of Avios earned on gold purchases.

• With NO LIMIT of Avios being the maximum Avios per transaction.   

2.4 Alfardan Exchange TravelCard Transactions

• Customers will earn between 50 and 200 Avios based on the amount loaded or reloaded on the TravelCard.

• The issuance structure is slab-based and detailed in the transaction table below.

• With 200 Avios being the maximum Avios per transaction.   

3. Conditions for Avios Issuance

• Subject to the accuracy of Qatar Airways Privilege Club membership number provided by the customer,  Avios will be issued to the customer’s Qatar Airways Privilege Club account within 7 days after transaction clearance and settlement.

• Customers must ensure their Qatar Airways Privilege Club account details and membership numbers are correctly provided at the time of transaction to receive Avios.

• Customers must provide their own Qatar Airways Privilege Club membership number and shall not use or submit a membership number belonging to relatives, friends, or any third party not directly associated with the transactions they have availed. 

• Avios issued as for these qualifying transactions cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash.

4. Eligibility Criteria based on Transaction Type

4.1 Outward Remittances

• Domestic transfers (within the State of Qatar) are excluded from Avios issuance.

• Transactions must be processed in full compliance with Alfardan Exchange policies which can be found at https://www.alfardanexchange.com.qa/terms-and-conditions/

• Avios issuance is calculated per a transaction value and is not cumulative.

• Intentionally separating a transaction to earn additional Avios, such as sending multiple transfers to the same beneficiary instead of a single transaction, will be considered a violation of the Alfardan Exchange Money Transfer Terms & Conditions which can be found at https://www.alfardanexchange.com.qa/terms-and-conditions/ .  

• Cross Border Money Transfer (Remittances) means transactions that are originated from physical locations of Alfardan Exchange or through Alfardan Exchange Send Remittance App/Web or through Western Union App/Web or any other digital channels managed by Alfardan Exchange in Qatar.    

For example:

If a customer makes two separate transactions of QR 5,000 each, they will receive 50 Avios for each transaction (totaling 100 Avios).

However, if the customer makes one single transaction of QR 10,000, they will receive 50 Avios (not 100 Avios by adding up the two QR 5,000 transactions).

4.2 Foreign Currency Purchases

• Avios will be issued based on the value of the foreign currency transaction purchased by the customer.

• The minimum issuance of Avios is 50 Avios, and the maximum issuance of Avios is 300 Avios per a transaction.

• The issuance is calculated based on the total transaction amount at the time of purchase.

4.3 Gold Bullion Transactions

• Avios are awarded per ounce of gold purchased.

• The more gold a customer buys, the higher the Avios issuance.

• There is no limit on Avios issuance for gold transactions.

4.4 Alfardan Exchange TravelCard

• Avios are awarded for both card loading and reloading transactions (only) in foreign currencies.

• The minimum issuance of Avios is 50 Avios, and the maximum issuance of Avios is 200 Avios.

• If a transaction value falls within a specific slab, the Avios will be issued accordingly.

5. Compliance & Fraud Prevention

• Alfardan Exchange reserves the right to withhold Avios if fraudulent, suspicious, or non-compliant transactions are detected.

• Transactions must comply with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations.

6. Program Changes & Termination

• Alfardan Exchange reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this Avios rewards program at any time without prior notice.

7. Liability Disclaimer

• Alfardan Exchange is not responsible for any issues related to Avios redemption, expiration, or Qatar Airways Privilege Club policies.

• Avios once credited cannot be reversed.
